Project Developer (m/f/d) for ground-mounted photovoltaic systems - Leipzig, Germany

KLM Projektentwicklung GmbH & Co. KG develops innovative ground-mounted photovoltaic systems in cooperation with ENERPARC AG. With an interdisciplinary team of architects, geographers, urban and landscape planners and in close cooperation with our architectural office, we have successfully implemented over 200 ground-mounted photovoltaic systems with a total output of more than 1,000 megawatts over the last ten years, thus actively shaping the future of energy.
To strengthen our team in Leipzig, we are looking for a Project Developer (m/f/d) Photovoltaics with a focus on land acquisition for ground-mounted photovoltaic systems (solar parks).

Your tasks:

  • Area research and analysis: Identification of suitable areas, taking into account spatial planning and nature conservation regulations.
  • Land acquisition and contract negotiations: Independent negotiation and conclusion of lease and purchase agreements with landowners.
  • Network development: Active development and maintenance of a network of space scouts, brokers and other players to ensure continuous space acquisition.
  • Presentation and persuasion: Presentation of our projects to municipalities and landowners in order to secure land for project development.
  • Project coordination: Management and coordination of the parties involved, such as authorities, specialist planners and owners, as well as support during the approval process.
  • Support in international business development: collaboration on projects in new markets, particularly in Eastern Europe.

Your profile:

  • Degree in architecture, civil engineering, urban or regional planning, real estate management, business administration, agricultural brokerage, industrial engineering, geography or a related field.
  • Experience in land acquisition and negotiating skills, ideally in the field of solar, wind or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of real estate, contract, construction and planning law is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiating and communication skills as well as a confident manner towards owners, municipalities and authorities.
  • Good knowledge of English, knowledge of Romanian for international projects.
  • Flexibility, willingness to travel and good business management skills.
  • Confident handling of AutoCAD, GIS applications and MS Office.

As one of the leading German solar park developers, we have successfully implemented 270 solar parks with an output of over 2 gigawatts over the past 15 years with more than 40 architects and project developers in Germany together with our exclusive partner, Hamburg-based Enerparc AG.

Together with its exclusive partner, Hamburg-based Enerparc AG, KLM Projektentwicklung has realized over 270 solar parks with a total output of more than 2 gigawatts in Germany over the past 15 years. This extensive experience in the German market forms the basis for our expansion into Romania, which is at the beginning of a dynamic development in the field of renewable energies. The focus is on the regions of Prahova, Ilfov, Dâmbovița, Timișoara and Arad.

With the establishment of KLM Development Romania S.R.L. in Bucharest, we have created a strong basis for planning and developing projects locally. We benefit from our many years of expertise and work closely with our German office in Leipzig. In order to actively drive this development forward, we are looking for a project developer (m/f/d) to support the development of our business in Romania after an intensive training phase in Germany.

 

Your tasks:

Area development

  • Research and analysis of suitable areas in Romania, taking into account spatial planning and nature conservation regulations
  • Evaluation of project areas and preparation of decision papers

Project management

  • Support in planning and applying for permits, in close cooperation with local authorities and partners
  • Coordination of all project participants, such as specialist planners, authorities and property owners
  • On-site project support and close coordination with our German team
  • Preparation and implementation of network inquiries for planned projects
  • Support in the preparation and submission of documents for participation in CfD tenders

Market development and team building

  • Establishing and maintaining contacts with local partners, communities and authorities
  • Presentation of our projects to landowners and municipalities in Romania
  • Support in setting up a local project development team

 

Your profile:

Professional qualifications

  • Degree or training in geography, urban planning, architecture, renewable energies, real estate management or similar
  • First experience in project development, ideally in the field of renewable energies
  • Good business knowledge and understanding of legal and regulatory requirements in Romania

Personal strengths

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Flexibility and readiness to fly within Romania and to Germany
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites
  • Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working

Language skills and tools

  • Very good knowledge of Romanian and English, knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Confident handling of MS Office, GIS applications and optionally AutoCAD

Urban planner (m/f/d) for development plans

KLM Architekten und Ingenieure is a nationwide planning office specializing in ground-mounted photovoltaic systems, office buildings and multi-storey residential buildings. With our
project development company, we plan solar parks with ENERPARC AG - one of the largest builders and operators of solar plants - in an interdisciplinary team from the fields of geography, urban and regional planning, architecture and renewable energy management. Our expertise includes both approval planning and independent project development as well as the identification of potential sites and lease and purchase negotiations.

We are looking for committed urban and regional planners (m/f) with professional experience and knowledge in the creation of development plans as well as excellent skills in urban land use planning to set up the urban land use planning department in Leipzig as soon as possible.

Urban planner (m/f/d) for development plans

Your tasks:

  • Preparation of land use plans and development plans with procedural implementation and integrated scheduling
  • Green planning, impact regulation, environmental report
  • Location alternative tests, obtaining offers
  • Preparation of expert reports for the management of solar projects incl. coordination of expert reports
  • Landscape conservation plans for linear and extensive intervention projects
  • Development of urban development plans in functional, design and legal terms

Your profile:

  • Degree with Diplom (FH) or Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture/urban planning, geography or a comparable course of study
  • You have relevant professional experience and experience in the independent preparation of development plans
  • Your professional experience and qualifications will enable you to work independently on challenging projects at the level of preparatory and binding urban land-use planning.
  • You are able to confidently represent and present the results of your work to our clients. We expect you to be willing to participate in evening committee meetings.
  • Sound knowledge and practice-oriented application in building and planning law
  • Talent for communication and coordination
